- This FedBizOps announcement constitutes a Notice of Contract Action (NOCA) under Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Case PL-D-DAG for release of a contract on or about April 1, 2002. The GATO MC2 SPO is supporting the acquisition of up to three AN/AAQ-22 SAFIRE long wave (8-12 micron) airborne thermal imaging systems (or equivalent) for the Poland Air and Air Defense Force (PAADF). The requirement calls for proven commercial off the shelf items (COTS). The system include a CCD-TV camera sensor and a EVG compatible Laser Illuminator. A one-year commercial warranty is included plus an additional one year extended warranty. Support equipment includes Ground Support Kits, Organizational Level Manuals, cables for the turrets, Power-In, Hand Controller, Video-Out and Power Monitor. The contractor will provide three weeks of technical assistance. Poland is responsible for the installation and integration of the AN/AAQ-22 SAFIRE systems into two Polish helicopters. Delivery of all items to the PAADF will occur no later than 6 months from date of contract award. The contractor shall obtain required licenses and comply with all export control laws and regulations. The above Infrared Imaging systems will be acquired under Foreign Military Sales and FAR Part 12 Commercial procedures.
