- Contractor to furnish all labor, transportation, and supplies necessary to modify two (2) existing 5000 gallon (approximate) JP-8 fuel tanks. All materials used shall meet commercial standards and be subject to Government approval prior to installation. Contractor shall drain and vent fuel tanks in accordance with standard commercial practices. Fuel shall be disposed of in accordance with Government direction. Contractor shall accurately measure tank capacity via strapping or volumetric methods in accordance with API standards 2550, 2551, and 2555. Contractor shall develop and create certified calibrated gauging charts based upon measured tank capacity. Charts shall be calibrated in U.S. gallons and show capacity in 1/8 Inch graduation. Contractor shall provide one (1) reproducible and three (3) copies of gauge chart for each tank. Contractor shall provide and install an external mounted site glass for each tank to facilitate readings during refuel operations. Contractor shall leak test tanks after installation and certify their structural integrity. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
