- THE ABOVE ADDRESS IS INCORRECT. Please use the following address for any correspondence: Division of Research Acquisition, NIH, 6100 Executive Boulevard, Room 6E01, MSC 7540, Bethesda, Maryland 20892-7540. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Aging (NIA), intends to negotiate a one year contract, with four 12-month option periods with MedStar Research Institute to provide clinical support services for the NIA Intramural clinical research program. The services to be provided include radiology, nuclear medicine, pathology, laboratory, pharmacy, nursing, admininistrative, clerical, dietary, molecular medicine, informatics, and safety. The NIA has negotiated and signed a lease with the MedStar Research Institute facility of Harbor Hospital for the space to perform these services and therefore MedStar Research Institute is the only organization that can provide the services. The appropriate statutory authority is 41 USC 253(c)(1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). This is NOT a Request for Proposal. If, however, there are any responsible sources who feel they possess the abilities and facilities which would enable them to perform this project, they may submit a proposal which will be considered by NIH.
