- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), for renewal of its Basic Government Membership Fee and related International Activity Assessments under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Only One Source Reasonably Available. ANSI is one of the largest standards bodies in the U.S. and through its participation, NIST staff contribute their technical expertise and leadership to ANSI's standards activities. This participation, in turn, provides NIST with feedback on standards activities related to NIST research. This is a sole source procurement as ANSI is solely responsible for collecting and administering its membership fees. A firm fixed price Purchase Order will be issued on or about April 2, 2002. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement in writing. This notice of intent is not a request for competition. However, the Government will consider all responses received by the closing date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) is not available. See Note 26.
