- Description
- The Forest Service intends to issue a Request for Proposals to construct a new water distribution system at the Smith River NRA and connection of the system to the Gasquet Community Services District water system. Work is expected to begin approximately June 10, with a contract time of 120 calendar days. A pre-proposal tour is scheduled for April 26 at 9:00 a.m at the Smith River NRA Visitors Center. To reach the project location from Eureka, CA, travel 85 miles north on State Highway 101 to State Highway 199. Travel approximately 10 miles east on State Highway 199 to the Smith River NRA compound. The compound will be on the north side of Highway 199 east of Gasquet. Price range is between $250,000 to $500,000. The NAICS code is 234910, this procurement is conducted under the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program which is not a small business set-aside. A 20% bid bond will be required with offer. Performance and payment bonds of 100% each will be required of the successful offeror. The Government will award the contract to the offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government based on the merits of the proposal for: technical approach, past performance, experience of project personnel, capacity to perform and price. Solicitation documents will be posted at this website (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) on approximately April 12. The closing date for receipt of proposals is approximately close of business of May 13.
