- Description
- The purpose of this contract is for approx. 1,380 acres of Pre Commercial Thinning, and approx. 120 acres to secure services for Timber Stand Improvement and Habitat Restoration for the northern Idaho ground squirrel (Threatened and Endangered Species) requiring tree thinning and slash treatment in compliance with its terms, specifications and provisions. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government furnished) and incidentals to perform work. ACCESSIBILITY - Work areas may be reached by Forest Service roads accessible by standard two or four wheel drive pickup with mud/snow tires and chains if needed, during normal operating season. ATV's will be permitted in areas only designated by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). ATV's will not be permitted in some designated areas. Project is located on the Weiser, New Meadows & Council Ranger Districts, Payette National Forest. Est. start date is 07/01/2002 with completion in approx. 150 calendar days.
