Description
The Social Security Administration (SSA) requires the services of a qualified contractor to provide DRIVERS ONLY to operate Government-owned and/or leased mini-vans, shuttle(s) equipped with handicapped lift(s) and executive sedans between the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area. The services are for daily scheduled passenger shuttle services and on an as needed basis executive staff chauffeur services. The contractor will be responsible for the management, supervision and manpower to fulfill the requirements of the contract. This acquisition is being conducted under Part 12 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) regarding the acquisition of commercial items, Part 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items and subject to the Service Contract Act. SSA anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract with four (4) successive, one-year options, if exercised. Solicitation number SSA-RFQ-02-0144 is scheduled for release on or about April 1, 2002, with responses due 30 days later. This acquisition is a 100% total small-business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 485999. The standard size is $5 million. Proposals received from other than small business will be deemed unacceptable and given no further consideration. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the FedBizOpps website (www.fedbizopps.gov) to check the status of this requirement and to keep current with any amendments that may be issued. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. There is no written solicitation document available, telephone requests will not be honored and no bidders lists will be maintained.
