- THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The government requires the following: Requirements type contract to be negotiated on a sole source basis with John Crane-Lips Americas, for Technical Representative Services for replacement of rudder seals and stern tube seals (which require vulcanizing prior to installation), on board naval vessels. Advise the on-site removal, inspection, disassembly, repair, installation and testing of subject rudder and stern tube seals. FOB: Destination. Services are to be performed at the various Western Pacific sites including, but not limited to the Naval Ship Repair Facilities in Yokosuka and Sasebo Japan. The Sole Source Solicitation will NOT be commercial FAR part 12. It will be negotiated under FAR part 15 Procueduers as a Time and Material type of Contract.
