- NA DESC: The contract work consists of removal of existing bridge girder bearings and pedestals on the dam spillway bridge, and placement of new bearings and pedestals as specified and designed in the contract specifications. This project is located on the Ob ey River as part of the Dale Hollow Reservoir near the town of Celina, Tennessee. The contractor will be required to close the road for the duration of the construction at the bridge and work will be performed on approximately six (6) piers above the dam a nd waters of the reservoir. Major features of the work are installation/removal of steel jacking members, jacking of bridge girders, removal/installation of bridge bearings and repairs to concrete support pedestals. Solicitation documents will be available on or about 25 April 2002. Hard copies will not be available. Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Internet at the following address: http://www.lrn.usace.army.mil on or after issue date of the solicitation; N o written or fax requests shall be accepted. If any information changes during the advertisement period, contractors are responsible to make changes to their user profile on the Internet. Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause a delay in r eceiving the solicitation and amendments. Bidders are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation. Bids will be opened on or about 28 May 2002 at 2:00 p.m. Completion time for this project is 120 calendar days. This procurement is unrestricte d. The NAICS Code is 234120 with a size standard of $27.5 million dollars. The estimated range of the project is $100,000.00 to $250,000.00 and bonding is required. Solicitation will contain FAR 52.219-4 (Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for HUBZONE S mall Business Concerns). Affirmative action to insure equal employment opportunity is applicable to the resulting contract. Liquidated damages will be specified.
