Description
McChord AFB intends to establish a negotiated service contract for operating a Commercial Travel Office. Period of performance will be a Base period of I July 2002 through 30 June 2003, with four one-year Option periods. Contractor shall provide personnel, equipment and license to operate a commercial travel office at McChord AFB for official government travel. This acquisition will be accomplished as a Commercial Service in accordance with FAR 15, Contracting by Negotiations. In conformance with FAR 191300, this acquisition is being considered for a HUBZone set-aside. If your firm is HUBZone certified and intend to propose on this acquisition, please provide the following information to the Contracting Officer not later than 10 days after the publication of this Notice. 1) Name of Travel Agency, 2) Address: 3)Phone & FAX number, 4)E-mail address, 5) Size of agency: HubZone ___, Small business ___ 6)Are you familiar with Government rates  GSA City Pairs? Yes/No, 7) Is your agency willing to operate an onsite location at McChord AFB, WA? 8) Does your company have or will be able to obtain Airline Reservations Corporations (ARC) License? (specify). 9) Offeror must furnish a major airline computer reservation system; e.g. Apollo, Sabre, Worldspan, etc. Is this a problem? 10) Travelers will use their individual government charge card. Are you familiar with the government charge card system? 11)Travelers without individual cards will be using Centrally Billed Account (CBA). Is your agency familiar with this system? Yes/No 12) How soon can your company be operational after award? Base on the responses, the Contracting Officer will make a determination whether or not to make this a HUBZone set-aside. If there is not a reasonable expectation of adequate competition as a HUBZone set-aside, the acquisition will be considered for 100% small business set-aside. Therefore interested small business should provide the same information listed above. If after evaluation of this information there is no reasonable explanation of adequate competition from the small business, the acquisition will be conducted using full & open competition. Offerors will be evaluated using Price Performance TradeOff. The solicitation package will be issued on or about 19 April 2002. The applicable Standard Classification (SIC) is 4724, size standard is 1.0m, NAICS 561510. The solicitation package will be posted EXCLUSIVELY on the electronic posting system at HTTP://www.eps.gov following links USAF Office, Air Mobility Comand, McChord AFB. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE SENT. Proposals are anticipated to be due by close of business (4:00 PST) 20 May 2002.
