Description
This is a synopsis for ship repair under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The request for quotation (RFQ) number is DTCG80-02-Q-3FAD31. Award will be made to the responsible contractor whose offer, conforming to the RFQ, will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. Price and Technically Acceptable factors will be used to evaluate offers. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336611. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The RFQ package and specifications will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page on or about April 01, 2002 at http://www.eps.gov/. Quotes will be due on or about April 08, 2002, 4:00 pm Eastern Standard Time to: Commander (vpl-1) MLCLANT, 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. Requests for Quotations and additional information requests may be faxed to (757) 628-4676, Attn: Ms. Mildred A. Anderson. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, services, and competence necessary to overhaul the starboard anchor windlass on the USCGC ESCANABA (WMEC 907), a 270 foot Medium Endurance Cutter. The cutter?s homepier is located at CG Integrated Support Center, 427 Commercial Street, Boston, MA 02109-1094. There is only one work item under this procurement: Overhaul Anchor No. 1 Windlass Assembly. The performance period is 30 days, commencing 08 July 2002 and ending 08 August 2002. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. Drawings are available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM are free of charge to contractors upon request. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Program. Small businesses are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. ?ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
