- Description
- THE FOLLOWING SYNOPSIS REPLACES SYNOPSIS NO. 48 DATED MARCH 13, 2002 FOR THE ABOVE REFERENCED SOLICITATION NUMBER. TEXT: The Government has a requirement for a minimum of one and up to two fishing vessels to conduct biological studies of Steller Sea Lions in the Aleutian Islands, AK, the Gulf of Alaska, and Prince William Sound in June and August, 2002 with two options for the same periods in 2003 and 2004. One 20 day charter is scheduled to commence 24 June 2002 at Dutch Harbor, AK, and one 10 day charter is scheduled to commence 1 August 2002 in Kodiak, AK. Vessel requirements include: minium length of 85 feet (26 m); maximum draft of 14 feet (4.3 m), and height to bridge deck of 14 feet from (4.3 m) from water line; minimum cruising speed of 9 knots (17 km/hr); minimum vessel operating endurance of 14 days (based on an average running time of 12 hours per day at 9 kts. or 17 km/hr.); The remainder of the vessel requirements are listed in the Statements of Work.
