Description
The following are responses to questions submitted by offerors: 1. Question: We cannot offer a machine with 18 inch X travel and 12 inch Y travel and 12 inch Z travel that is under 2000 lbs and will fit through a door 6 feet wide and 6.67 feet high. Would a machine with a 12 inch X travel and 10 inch Y travel, capable of drilling a 12 inch high work piece, that is under 2000 and will fit through door 6 feet wide and 6.67 feet high, be acceptable. Response: The minimum acceptable table travel is twelve inches in the x-direction and ten inches in the y-direction with six inches in the z-direction. The worktable, at a minimum, shall be eighteen inches in the x-direction and twelve inches in the y-direction and capable of drilling a work piece twelve inch in height. The dry weight of the EDM Drill shall be less than 3000 pounds. 2. Question: Would an RS232 connection from your PC to our computer controlled EDM Hole Drilling machine, for down loading hole locations be acceptable. Response: The computer controlled EDM Drilling machine shall be furnished with both Ethernet and computer numerical control. 3. Question: Specifications requirements: Machine specifications for holes of 0.003? to 0.250? in diameter. Is this the actual hole size requirement or the electrode size that the machine in capable of using? Response: The EDM Drill shall be capable of making holes 0.003 inches to 0.250 inches in diameter. 4. Question: Table Travel: The minimum requirement for X-Y travels are 18? x 12?? Are you willing to accept a 10?x14? table travel with a 12? open height? Response: The minimum acceptable table travel is twelve inches in the x-direction and ten inches in the y-direction with six inches in the z-direction. The worktable, at a minimum, shall be eighteen inches in the x-direction and twelve inches in the y-direction and capable of drilling a work piece twelve inch in height.
