Description
Amendment to solicitation number M00681-02-R-0014 is issued for the following reasons: The closing date of this solicitation has been extended to 21 March 2002 at 4:00 PM to allow offerors to revise their technical proposals. Please submit descriptive literature. The following questions and answers are as follows: 1. Is the color of the wall panels ?colonial oak? a requirement, or can we substitute an alternate color, such as ?walnut?? Answer: Colonial Oak is the color required. 2. Is the end user expecting the wall panel to be hardboard covered with vinyl? Answer: YES 3. Is it a requirement to use the brand name ?Schlage? for the locks on doors: Answer: YES 4. Solicitation calls for 2? thick wall panel. Is a #? thick panel acceptable? Answer: NO, only 2? thick walls will be accepted 5. Does the end user expect the wiring to be complete within the build ing with a breaker box on the exterior to be connected to power by the government? Answer: YES 6. Will the government be bringing power to within a few feet of each building for our electricians to attach our breaker box? Answer: The government will hook power to the breaker boxes after the offices have been installed. 7. Please explain what a ?government owned door stop? is? Answer: Dome or ?L? style to be anchored into concrete floor. Vendor is to drill holes and anchor down the door stops. 8. Would it be acceptable to provide a window in the doors that is 20? X 30? as opposed to the specification of 26? X 34?? Answer: NO 9. Should the buildings be designed for seismic zone 4? Or will that be waived? Answer: Offices are to be designed for seismic zone 4 10. What is the anticipated completion date for the installation of these building? Answer: Indica te how long it will take to complete all offices. 11. What color do you want the frame members? Answer: Clear stain 12. What type of door? Answer: Hollow core as per our specifications. 13. Do we connect to your power source? Answer: No, the government will connect the power to the breaker boxes after the offices have been installed. 14. Vinyl covered hardboard is flammable and wont meet code. Vinyl coated Gypsum does meet code? Answer: Vinyl covered hardboard is required. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
