- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for noncommercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00164-02-Q-0079 applies and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-04 as well as DCN 20020129. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334519 and the business size standard is 500. This requirement is as follows: CLIN 0001 ? Maintenance, repair and calibration of Government owned Spectral Dynamics Digital Vibration Control and Monitoring Systems, Models 2550 and 2552 in accordance with statement of work, SEE LINK TO STATEMENT OF WORK, 8 pages. Period of performance is 1 April 2002 through 31 March 2003. This requirement is being solicited on a sole-source basis to Spectral Dynamics, 1983 Concourse Drive, San Jose, CA 95131, due to the proprietary control system software and associated circuit cards which can only be serviced by their field service representatives. Final inspection will be at NSWC CRANE. All responsible sources may submit a quote that will be considered by the Agency. A Firm-Fixed Price purchase order will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
