Description
NA Project Title: Maintenance & Support for the Intecom S/80 and Pulsepoint Voicemail System Location: US Army Corps of Engineers; 1325 J Street; Sacramento CA 95814-2922 Job Description: Sources Sought/Notice of Intent to solicit with one source. The proposed contract action is for services, which the Government intends to solicit with Intecom Inc, Addison TX, unless as a result of analysis of acceptable responses to thi s notice a determination is made by the Government to issue a competitive request for quotations. This manufacturer has not authorized any other manufacturers to service equipment manufactured by them. The software is proprietary and company confidential information and contains valuable trade secrets. It requires a dedicated on-site Customer Service Technician (CST) who is able to interact directly with the Intecom?s National Technical Support Center in Dallas TX for 24x7 coverage and support. This tec hnician must be certified by Intecom standards at the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) I and II level at Intecom?s Technical Training Center for our particular systems, the Intecom S/80 and Pulsepoint Model 1110. In addition, the technician must be trained in the installation of our upgraded Intecom PBX system called PointSpan, and the new voicemail system, called CommWorks. Only an Intecom employee or contracted customer (us) can interact directly with the Technical Support Center. This accessibility all ows direct interaction for any service issues, and should a problem occur during other than normal business hours, the Technical Center can dispatch the technician immediately. They are able to monitor the systems by remote maintenance administration feat ures. All interested persons may respond or submit statements of qualifications. This is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations. The Government will consider responses received within 45 days after the date of publication of this synopsis . A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is within the discretion of the Government. This RFQ is a Sole Source, Unrestrictive Business size and all qualified businesses may respond. All responses to this synopsis should be in No Later Than 06 May 2002, 3:00 P.M. Ordering Solicitation: The solicitation for this project will be available on the Sacramento District Contracting Division?s Internet Home Page at http://ebs.spk.usace.army.mil/ for downloading. Any future amendments to the solicitation will also be avai lable for download from this web site. Requests for copies of this solicitation in any other format than what is advertised will be disregarded. It is important that you first go to this web site and under contract division home page, click on the advert ised solicitation you are interested in. Go to plan holders? registration. This will require you to establish a user name and password. Keep the user name and password and share it with anyone else in your organization that is responsible for registerin g your firm on plan holders lists. With our new system you only have to do the full registration one time. If you have your user name and password, you can always go back into the system and register for other jobs without having to go through the entire registration process. However, you can only do this by using your initial user name and password. In order to receive notification of any amendments to the solicitation you are required to register for the plan holders? list. Please complete all reques ted information. To download the solicitation, you need to go to the Sacramento District Contracting Division?s Internet Home Page at http://ebs.spk.usace.army.mil/. From there click on (San Francisco/Sacramento) District , then it will take you to list of advertised solicitations and then from there click on the desired solicitation number. And at the bottom of this page, there is a bar that says download/view solicitation files. Select plans or specs from the drop down box and press go button. This will take you to the next page, then from there click on the file name and download. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency.
