- SPAWAR Systems Center San Diego intends to extend the period of performance under contract N66001-97-D-0053 with Northrop Grumman IT (PRC), 1500 PRC Drive, McLean, VA 22102 from 14 March 2002 until 31 December 2002. This extension will be for approximately 9 additional months. This instant action will serve as a bridge vehicle until the follow-on contract is awarded. The contractor is currently performing work that consists of developing a browser based software tool, develop technology needs assessments, program strategies, schedules, and milestones to support the Government management team. Tasking also includes developing demonstration or exercise objectives, test and demonstration procedures, operational scenarios supporting technology demonstrations, and the military utility assessment process. Anticipated task orders will provide systems analysis and engineering support associated with the assessment, investigation, and demonstration of the Navy modeling and simulation system component of the Global Command and Control System (GCCS).
