- Description
- The USCG MLCP in Alameda, CA, proposes to contract for the Drydock and Repair of the USCGC ASSATEAGUE (WPB 1337), which is geographically restricted to a contractor facility in the State of Hawaii. Performance is expected to commence on 18 September 2002 and complete no later than 5 November 2002. The repair anticipated involves the following work items: Production Control, Gantt Bar Chart; Hurricane Contingency Plan; Sea Trials; Appendages (U/W) Leak Test; Hull Plating, Underwater Body Inspection; Ultrasonic Measurement Of Hull Plating Thickness; Potable Water Tank Reinforcements; Propulsion Shaft Renewal; Propulsion Shaft Seals/Packing Renewal; Propulsion Shaft Strut Bearings Renewal; Propulsion Shafting Alignment Check; Propeller Clean/ Inspect; Tachometers (Critical) Calibration; Sea Strainer (All Sizes) Overhaul; Sea Valve (<= 2.5 Inches) Renewal; Sea Valve (> 2.5 Inches) Overhaul; Steering Gear Hydraulic Overhaul; Rudder/Rudder Stock Removal And Reinstallation; Fin Stabilizer Overhaul; Warping Capstan (General) Level 2 Inspect/Repair; Single Point Davit Level 2 Inspection And Service; Bilge Preservation ; Forepeak Compartment Preservation; Potable Water Tank Preservation; Tanks (Sewage) Preserve; Void Preservation; Hull Plating, Underwater Body Preserve, Partial; Appendages (U/W) Preserve, Internal; Decks (All Exterior) Preserve, General; Hull Plating, Underwater Body Preserve, Additional; Freeboard Preservation; Cathodic Protection/Capac System Inspect/Service; Temporary Services Drydock Provide; Drydocking/Hauling. On or about 8 April 2002, a Request for Proposal will be issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program (SBCDP).
