- Description
- Project consists of machine piling downed residual slash and live or dead brush on approximately 238 acres on the McCloud Ranger District, Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Equipment Specifications: Option I - Tractor Type Equipment 1) minimum of 35 flywheel hp and a maximum of 75 flywheel hp, length of crawler tractor(s) with blade, but without winch shall not exceed 14 feet; 2) Auxillary equipment required: Brush rake, Fleco multi-applicator type with brush rake or equivalent, 6 feet minimum width, 8-1/2 feet max. width with a minimum of one tooth every 16 inches on center; Cal-OSHA approved canopy (roll-over protective structure) and seat belts. Option II - Excavator type equipment 1) Excavator shall be equiped with atachment capable of picking up and piling slash. 2) shall have a minimum of 65 hp capability; 3) Min. reach of 28 feet from centerline of excavator; 4) Max. weight of excavator shall not exceed 26,000 pounds; 5) Max. ground pressure is 4 pounds per square inch; 6) Excavator shall have 24" width tracks equipped with double or triple grouser shoe to minimize soil disturbance; 7) Width of excavator shall not exceed 8-1/2 feet; 8)Excavator shall be capable of working on slopes up to 35 percent; Excavator must meet Cal-OSHA equipment specifications for safety. Contract time: 120 calendar days. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
