- Description
- The Office of Safety R&D of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is awarding up to four cooperative agreements to establish new CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE IN FINITE ELEMENT CRASH ANALYSIS. All potential applicants that have an on-going program of research involving the nonlinear finite element code, LS-DYNA, and use this software for dynamic structural analysis and/or motor vehicle crash modeling are of interest to FHWA. Currently established Centers of Excellence should not apply. Each cooperative agreement is for a maximum of $100,000 of Government funding each spread over a period of three years. Each successful applicant must co-fund each agreement with a minimum of $25,000 in matching funding; however, matching funding in the amount of $100,000 or more is preferred.
