Description
The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for the construction of a fish screen; and various other activities as stated below. In addition, the Bureau of Reclamation Plans to issue a Request for Proposal within 15 days of this notice. Please see principal components of the work below. Background: The A Canal diverts water from the Upper Klamath Lake to provide water deliveries to approximately 220,000 acres of land in the Klamath Project. The canal was constructed in 1905. In 1922 Upper Klamath lake was raised by construction of Link River Dam, located approximately 2500 feet downstream from the handworks of the A Canal. In 1988 the US Fish and Wildlife Service listed the short nose Sucker and the Lost River Sucker, two species known to inhabit the lake, as endangered.
