Description
The 21 March 2002 Industry Days (Reference Number 25) have been postponed and moved to 23-25 April 2002. The event will take place at Ft. MacArthur in San Pedro, CA. The first day will be unclassified, but FOUO for US Citizens only. Day 2 and 3 will be unclassified at US DoD Secret. Individual classified briefings will be by appointment only. From 23-25 April 2002, the Navstar Global Positioning System (GPS) Joint Program Office (JPO), HQ Space & Missile Systems Center (SMC), Los Angeles AFB, is holding an unclassified (DoD US Secret) pre-RFP industry day for GPS UE Modernization. Check in will begin at 7:30am with the conference beginning at 8:30am. The agenda for the first day will include an overview of the JPO's acquisition strategy, programmatic timelines, required technologies as well as security issues. The second and third days will include detailed technical sessions including TRD (Technical Requirements Document) review and updates. During the first half of the day, questions and discussion points will be developed for optional one-on-one government-contractor sessions (45 minutes maximum time) [No marketing presentations] One-on-one sessions will be scheduled toward the end of each day with over-flow sessions scheduled for day three. All contractors desiring a one-one-one meeting must sign up with Elaine Gehr (310) 781-8609 prior to 19 April 2002. RSVP for general conference attendance with Elaine Gehr, include organizational or government affiliation and citizenship. Location: The conference will be held at the Ft. MacArthur Community Center, 2400 S. Pacific; enter from the main gate (24th Street) in San Pedro, CA. There will be someone at the gate to receive people who have RSVP'd. You will be directed to parking and to the building once inside.
