Description

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Research, Development, and Technology (RD&T) Service Business Unit has a need for providing on-site human factors research and highway transportation engineering support services to the Human Centered Systems Team at the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center located in McLean, VA. The on-site technical and administrative support services provided will assist the Human Centered Systems Team in planning, developing, and conducting activities within the highway safety (e.g. speed management, intersections, visibility, and pedestrians/bicycles) and operations areas (e.g. traffic operations, travel management, and Intelligent Transportation Systems). The support will consist of assisting the Human Centered Systems Team in analyzing and reviewing specific technical/and or program issues, conducting in-house human factors research, reviewing the research conducted by off-site contractors, and preparing documentation to support FHWA in planning, executing, and managing its human factors program. The Government anticipates awarding a contract with a 24-month base period of performance with three one-year options. NO FURTHER SOLICITATION INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. This solicitation will be available electronically through the electronic posting system (www.eps.gov). No written, telephonic, facsimile or e-mail requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. Since this solicitation will only be available electronically, it is the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the EPS website for any solicitation amendments. All responsible sources may submit a proposal that shall be considered by FHWA.
