The National Institutes of Health (NIH) announces an opportunity for Interior Design Professional Services for the NIH Family Lodge project (NAICS code 541410). The Family Lodge will be an on-campus, short-stay residence facility for families and caregivers of patients at the NIH Clinical Center. Its mission is to provide a refuge offering both quiet seclusion and supportive fellowship among the residents. The architectural design of the Family Lodge has been completed under separate contract, and is in the style of an English country manor with a stone and terracotta tile exterior, and interior public spaces with wood wainscotting, chairails, and wood floors. The Government is seeking a firm capable of programming, design and procurement of furniture, window treatments, associated interior elements, and the specification of certain interior fixtures that are currently included in the base building's construction as allowances. 8 1/2" X 11" summary plans and an exterior rendering of the base building are available via fax by contacting: Al Plyler-Phone-301-496-1847, or e-mail al plyler@nih.gov; or Ann Argaman-Phone 301-594-5919, or e-mail aargaman@cc.nih.gov.
