Description
NA The Department of Defense (DOD) Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Research Program (TSCRP) is being established in fiscal year 2002 (FY02) to promote research directed toward a better understanding of the role and function of proteins produced by the TSC1 and TSC 2 tumor suppressor genes. Congress appropriated $1M for the TSCRP in FY02. The U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command through the Office of the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP) administrate this program. The FY02 TSCRP P rogram Announcement has been released on March 8, 2002. All applicants considering submission of a proposal in response to this program announcement are requested to submit an electronic Letter of Intent by May 21, 2002. Proposal receipt deadline for the FY02 TSCRP Program Announcement is June 4, 2002. Proposals will be requested for Ideal Development Awards. A detailed description of the award mechanism, evaluation criteria, and submission requirements can be found in the FY02 TSCRP Program Announcement, which can be downloaded from the CDMRP web site (http://cdmrp.army.mil). Proposals will be received electronically in FY02. All applicants will be required to submit one electronic version of their proposal as a PDF (Portable Document Format) file. Pro posals are encouraged from investigators working at Historically Black Colleges and Universities/Minority Institutions.
