Description

NA REFER QUESTIONS ON DISTRIBUTION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATION TO KAREN JOHNSON, (PLANS ROOM) AT PHONE (251) 690-2535 OR FAX (251) 694-4343. Contracting Officer for this project will be Leo Hickman. Specific questions to this solicitation may be answered by Mrs. Cynthia Y. Dunham, (251) 694-3860 or fax (251) 690-2675. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, supervision, tools, materials, and equipment, necessary to perform Renovation, Repair and Minor Construction for DOD Army Medical Facilities Na tionwide, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The proposed contract will be a single award for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract including a base year and four one-year options. The estimated value of the contract will be $ 15 million for the base year and $15 million for each option period, for a total estimated value of $75 million. Firm Fixed-Price Task Orders will be issued against the contract. The requirement is handled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile Dist rict, Mobile, AL. Refer to document in request. Bid documents are available on or about 10 April 2002 on Internet only at www.sam.usace.army.mil. This procurement is an UNRESTRICTED requirement. There is no cost for this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 23332. Note No. 1: Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet. Registration instructions are available on the Internet at http://www.sam.usace.army.mil then click on contract bids. Neither telephonic, mailed, nor fax requests will be accepted. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list. Registration must include the firm's physical address, telephone, a valid fax number and a point of contact. Registration should be completed one week prior to the issue date. All changes to this solicitation shall be m ade through the Internet only. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the Internet address listed above daily for posting of the solicitation and for any posted changes to this solicitation. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by fax or by posting for download to the aforementioned web page. The plans and specifications will be issued on the Internet only and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed-paper format; howev er, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. Note No. 2: All bid forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal, shall be in paper medium. Electronic medium for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed. Note No. 3: Critical Path Method (Network Analysis System) is required. Note No. 4: For this job, a small business is defined as having average annual receipts of less than $28,500,000 for the past three years.
