Description

The Local Exchange Service Provider, certified by the Tennessee Public Utilities Commission, shall provide local telephone communications service as a minimum but not limited to, Plain Old Telephone Services (POTS), local access for Direct-In-Dial (DID) numbers, DID Directory Number Portability, Commercial Subscriber Directory Line Number Portability, commercial business lines, analog/digital subscriber lines, ring down hotlines, Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) Basic Rate Interface (BRI) subscriber lines, local and foreign exchange trunks, Direct-Out-Dial (DOD) trunks, DID trunks, two way trunks, analog trunks, digital trunks, and Primary Rate Interface (PRI) ISDN trunks. The Local Exchange Service Provider shall provide voice and data transport channel services, and also be able to provide circuit extension services through service provider owned/leased transport cable to include: alarm circuits, voice circuits, data circuits up to 64 Kbps, PRI ISDN, Broadband-ISDN, High Capacity Data Subscriber Line (HDSL), Digital Signal (DS0/DS1/DS3), Optical Carrier Signal level (OC1/OC3/OC12/OC48), Internet Access, and Frame Relay circuit with terminations. The Local Exchange Service Provider shall provide emergency 911/E911 services, operator and directory assistance, local/foreign exchange and Intra-LATA access. In addition, the Local Exchange Service Provider shall ensure that all circuit terminations of their metallic facilities at the Government installations are clearly tagged in a permanent manner with the circuit identification number or telephone number assigned to the circuit, and the circuit work order number. The Local Exchange Service Provider shall also provide directory public listings, cross reference listings, and foreign exchange listings. The contents of each cross-reference listing shall include the organization title and referral statement to the appropriate Government Agency. All other listings shall include the Government title, organization title, address, and telephone number. Note: Items in BOLD are primarily large Air Force base requirements.
