- NA Cougar Dam Interim Fish Trap, this facility is to be built along the south fork of the McKenzie River about 42 miles east of Eugene, Oregon. The site is physically located about 100 to 200 feet away from the nearest paved road. The total proposed work p eriod is about 100 calendar days. The fish facility work consists mostly of steel fabrication and installation with some aluminum fabrication, fabrication and installation of two wooden platform and access walkways , about 100 lineal feet of roadway cutti ng through the river bank, installing chain link fencing, placing about 700 lineal feet of buried electrical cable. A cofferdam system will be required to protect the facility while installation work is being done. Other small amounts of work include ins tallation of small diameter water piping, two water supply pumps, fish passage piping, security monitoring system, concrete footings and four electrical hoists. The In-Water work period is July 1, 2002 to August 15, 2002. The road work will most likely n eed to be done in order to install the facility items into place. The notice to proceed is expected to be May 3, 2002. The completion date of this contract will be August 30,2002. This procurement is unrestricted and open to both small and large busines ses. The small business size standard is $28.5 million. Magnitude of construction is $500,000 to $1,000,000.
