- Description
- The Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for research support for physics and applications of high power laser and microwave sources to support a wide variety of theoretical, numerical and experimental techniques. Specific research areas include ultra broadband radiation, laser-driven x-ray sources, laser-driven shock physics, ultra-intense, short pulse laser, and high poser microwave source development and applications. The basic research nature of the work requires the use of analytical, numerical and experimental techniques as well as computer hardware to study the various problem areas. Offerors must have demonstrated experience and the demonstrated ability to provide qualified personnel in performing the specified tasks. The Government anticipates an award of a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) type contract. Personnel proposed to work on the resultant contract shall have at least a Secret clearance or shall be capable of obtaining at least a Secret clearance prior to contract commencement. Period of Performance will be one (1) year with three (3) one-year options. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541710. The NRL uses Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue RFPs and amendments to RFPs. Paper copies of the RFP will not be provided. The proposed contract listed here is to be awarded under full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. The response date published in this synopsis is the current estimated date. The actual due date for proposals will be stated in the solicitation when issued. NOTE: 26.
