- For information contact Contracting Officer, Militza Jennings, email: mjennings@usgs.gov, fax 650-329-5480. The U. S. Geological Survey, Menlo Park, CA intends to award a non-competitive contract to Microwave Telemetry, 8835 Columbia 100 Pkwy., Suites K & L, Columbia, Maryland 21045 to purchase 51 each Implantable satellite transmitters to be delivered prior to July 5, 2002. The specifications are as follows: (1) implantable satellite transmitters less than 33 g including container, battery, transmitter and antenna. (2) Size of encapsulated unit excluding antenna should be less than 10 mm deep, 55 mm in length and 35 mm wide. (3) Battery life greater than 700 hours. (4) Sufficient power to transmit to satellites when implanted in the bird. (5) Successful past performance record for this unit is required. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Any information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
