Description
NA The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM), Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD), Humanitarian Demining Office proposes a non-competitive Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract with The University of Misso uri. The University of Missouri will provide for continuing engineering development of the Ground Standoff Minefield Detection System (GSTAMIDS), Handheld Standoff Mine Detection System (HSTAMIDS), Humanitarian Demining (HD) HSTAMIDS and other Mine Detect ion systems and associated technologies. The University of Missouri-Columbia and Rolla shall perform design, test and hardware/software analysis efforts for GSTAMIDS, HSTAMIDS, HD HSTAMIDS and associated technologies. GSTAMIDS and HSTAMIDS are comprised of Sensors, Mine Detection Algorithms, Signal Processors, Audio Outputs, and Physical and Electronic Marking Capabilities. Specifically, the University of Missouri will review the GSTAMIDS, HSTAMIDS and HD HSTAMIDS engineering concepts and software design for the Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) subsystems. This review effort shall result in suggestions to improve the GPR algorithm design. Efforts shall concentrate on improving the probability of mine detection and reducing the false alarm rate. Responses should be no longer than five (5) pages. Responses are to be received via email within 45 calendar days of the date of this notice. All requests for further information must be in writing or via email. Telephone requests for additional information will not be honored. Responses may be forwarded to kari.gregory@cacw.army.mil. Acknowlegement of receipt will be issued. See Numbered Note 22.
