- Description
- NASA/ARC plans to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for designing and replacing the boiler at building N223, in accordance with the statement of work. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The range of this procurement is from $100,000 to $5,000,000. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 235110 and $12.0, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C3. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ and model contract are those in effect through FAC 97-27. In order to be considered, all offerors must be licensed HVAC contractors. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the RFQ is on or about 2/25/02 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about 3/25/02. In accordance with FAR 28.101-2(a), the offeror will be required to have two methods of payment protection. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B".
