Description
The Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Public Debt, on behalf of GoTo.gov intends to negotiate a sole source contract with the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore (DPOB), Inc., 217 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21201, for shuttle service in downtown Baltimore, MD for a base period of one year with four one-year options. The services include unlimited daily use of the Shuttle Service by each employee covered by the agreement from 6:00 a.m. through 9:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with runs every five minutes during the peak hours of 6:30 a.m. through 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. through 6:30 p.m.; if requested, escorts by DPOB?s Safety Guide from the employee?s building to a pick-up location on Monday ? Friday, 10:00 a.m. through 9:30 p.m.; monitoring of the drop-off and pick-up locations by DPOB?s Public Safety Guides during the hours of 3:30 p.m. through 6:30 p.m.; and use of one parking space per employee covered by this agreement, with unlimited daily privileges to enter and/or exit the lots from 6:00 a.m. through 10:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday. It is noted that the portions of the lot and hours of operation will be restricted during Maryland Stadium Authority events. Services will be provided unless operation will compromise safety, during major snowstorms, or other inclement weather. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to fulfilling the requirement by submitting sufficient to make a determination that an alternative service is available. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available. However, all proposals received within fifteen day (15) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
