- The Naval Academy has a procurement to purchase the following: Line Item 001 ? 250APRA Radar System. 2 Each. Line Item 002 ? Shipping. 1 Lot. This radar system is manufactured by Sperry (Litton Marine). NO ORAL REQUESTS OR QUESTIONS SHALL BE HONORED. It is the intention of the Government to award a contract on a sole source basis to Sperry Marine, 1070 Seminole Trial, Charlottesville, VA pursuant to Far 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for equipment, which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. However, the Government shall consider all proposals received within the closing of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This solicitation shall close on 15 March 2002 at 12:00 noon.
