- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation N61339-02-T-0024 is issued as a request for quote and incorporates the provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-4. This solicitation is not set-aside for small business. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 334111 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. The following items are required: CLIN 0001, two (2) sets of HP J5000 Computers (Part # A4978A) with each set to consist of the following: 1GB RAM (two 512MB - Part # A4995A), two (2) Visualize EG Graphics PCI cards (A4977A), two (2) EG Adaptors (8120-6861), one (1) CD-ROM drive (A5001A), one (1) DDS3 tape drive (A5011A), one (1) 18 GB hard drive, one(1) each FWD & SE terminators, two (2) each USB Keyboard & Mouse, and one (1) power cord; CLIN 0002, two (2) sets of HP J5000 Computers (Part # A4978A) with each set to consist of the following: 1GB RAM (two 512MB - Part # A4995A), two (2) Visualize EG Graphics PCI cards (A4977A), two (2) EG Adaptors (8120-6861), one (1) CD-ROM drive (A5001A), one (1) Floppy Disk Drive (A5009A), one (1) 18 GB hard drive, one (1) each FWD & SE terminators, two (2) each USB Keyboard & Mouse, and one (1) power cord; CLIN 0003, eleven (11) sets of HP J5000 Computers (Part # A4978A) with each set to consist of the following: 1GB RAM (two 512MB - Part # A4995A), three (3) Visualize EG Graphics PCI cards (A4977A), three (3) EG Adaptors (8120-6861), one (1) CD-ROM drive (A5001A), one (1) Floppy Disk Drive (A5009A), one (1) 18 GB hard drive, one (1) each FWD & SE terminators, three (3) each USB Keyboard & Mouse, and one (1) power cord; CLIN 0004, seven (7) sets of 12 GB DDS-3 Tape Drives (Part # C6364A) with each set to include one (1) Cable (C2957A) and one (1) Terminator (C2904A). These items are intended to be utilized as follows: Tactical Advanced Computer (TAC) trainers are used to train operators on the Submarine Fleet Management Program Library (SFMPL) suite of programs. The SFMPL version change requires computer hardware upgrades. The equipment to be purchased is required to support the hardware change to the TAC trainers. As the computers are obsolete and no longer provided by the OEM, refurbished computers are acceptable. The price of each CLIN shall be quoted to include shipping to each destination as follows: CLIN 0001, two (2) sets to Kings Bay, GA 31547-2610; CLIN 0002, two (2) sets to Kings Bay, GA 31547-2610; CLIN 0003, two (2) sets to Kings Bay, GA 31547-2610, two (2) sets to Norfolk, VA 23511-3791, three (3) sets to New London, CT 06320, two (2) sets to San Diego, CA 92106-3550, and two (2) sets to Silverdale, WA 98315-2000; CLIN 0004, two (2) sets to Kings Bay, GA 31547-2610, one (1) set to Norfolk, VA 23511-3791, two (2) sets to New London, CT 06320, one (1) set to San Diego, CA 92106-3550, and one (1) set to Silverdale, WA 98315-2000. Delivery shall be made no later than 25 April 2002 to each of the five sites; acceptance shall be made at destination upon delivery. Delivery shall be made FOB Destination. The following FAR/DFARS provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1, 52.212-2, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5, 252.2121-7001. The following evaluation criteria shall be used as addenda to FAR 52.212-2(a): (i) Technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement (subfactors: N/A); (ii) price; and (iii) past performance. The following subparagraphs of FAR 52.212-5(b) apply: (11), (12), (13), (14), (15), (16), and (24). The following subparagraphs of FAR 52.212-5(c) apply: None. The following clauses of DFARS 252.212-7001(b) and (c) apply: 252.225-7036, A completed copy of the following must be included with each quote: FAR 52.212-3, DFARS 252.212-7000 and DFARS 252.225-7035. The following clauses also apply: DFARS 252.204-7004, "Required Central Contractor Registration" and "Year 2000 Warranty-Commercial Supply Items -- The contractor warrants that each hardware, software, and firmware product delivered under this contract and listed below shall be able to accurately process date data (including, but not limited to, calculating, comparing, and sequencing) from, into, and between the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, including leap year calculations, when used in accordance with the product documentation provided by the contractor, provided that all listed or unlisted products (e.g. hardware, software, firmware) used in combination with such listed product properly exchange date data with it. If the contract requires that specific listed products must perform as a system in accordance with the foregoing warranty, then that warranty shall apply to those listed products as a system. The duration of this warranty and the remedies available to the Government for breach of this warranty shall be as defined in, and subject to, the terms and limitations of the contractor's standard commercial warranty or warranties contained in this contract, provided that notwithstanding any provision to the contrary in such commercial warranty or warranties, the remedies available to the Government under this warranty shall include repair or replacement of any listed product whose non-compliance is discovered and made known to the contractor in writing within ninety (90) days after acceptance. Nothing in this warranty shall be construed to limit any rights or remedies the Government may otherwise have under this contract with respect to defects other than Year 2000 performance."
