Description
This is NOT a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5, but Market Research to identify sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, experience, and facilities to meet the requirements for build to specification acquisition of Aircraft Liquid Cooling Carts (LCC). NSNs: 1740-01-153-0996RN estimated quantity 43 each & 4130-01-381-6650RN estimated quantity 2 each. The LCC is a self-contained, cart mounted, diesel engine driven, vapor cycle, chilled coolant generator in support of the cooling requirement for aircraft avionics and radar systems during testing and maintenance of these systems. The coolant flow shall range between one and 85 gallons per minute at pressures from five to 250 psig. The minimum coolant circuit load requirement shall be 850,000 BTUs per hour. The LCC shall accommodate a variety of liquids in the coolant circuit, including: Polyalphaolefin, Liquid Coolanol, Ethylene Glycol-Water mix, and Propylene Glycol-Water mix. The LCC shall operate at extreme climactic conditions, including operating at temperatures from -40 to +125?F, desert conditions of blowing sand and dust, salt-rich atmospheres at seaside, blowing rain and high humidity. A Draft Requirements Matrix and Contractor Capability Survey are contained in this notice. Participation in this survey may not necessarily result in your company being able to participate in the solicitation due to level of security clearances and amount of foreign participation. This notice does not constitute an invitation for bid or request for proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this Market Research. The applicable North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 336413 (1000 Employees). Joint ventures or teaming arrangements may be advantageous. Information relative to the Small Business Administration Final Rule concerning waiver of the affiliation rule for small business joint venture and teaming arrangements is contained in this survey.
