- Description
- The 20th Contracting Squadron at Shaw AFB, South Carolina intends to negotiate and award a contract for official travel operations at Shaw AFB, South Carolina, Moody AFB, Georgia and Tyndall AFB, Florida. The contractor will be required to provide all personnel, labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, training, and other items necessary to perform operations of a commercial travel office at the above mentioned locations. Domestic and international air transportation, rental car reservations and hotel reservations capability will be required. This acquisition will be accomplished as a commercial purchase in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Parts 12 and 15. The performance period is one (1) base year beginning 1 July 2002 through 30 June 2003, plus four (4) 12 month option periods. Each installation will be a separate Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) to allow flexibility for the implementation of the Defense Travel System (DTS). The current estimated travel volume for all three bases is approximately 8.5 million dollars annually. Each installation may include satellite and limited satellite locations managed from a primary location. The contractor shall manage and operate the commercial travel offices in the facilities provided by the Government. This contract will contain a special, No Cost Termination for Convenience of the Government Clause for implementation of a DTS contract. The Government will issue a single solicitation and will award one contract for Official Travel at all locations. This acquisition will be set aside 100% for certified Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a) small business firms that are physically located and operating in SBA Region IV, as of the date of this synopsis. The NAICS code is 561510, size standard $1 million. Offerors will be evaluated using a Past Performance Price Trade-off. Interested parties may download the solicitation from www.eps.gov. The solicitation will be posted on or about 23 April 2002. No paper copies of this solicitation will be issued. Offers shall be submitted via paper copy only. The specific closing date and time for submission of offerors will be contained in the solicitation package. It is imperative interested parties review this site frequently for any updates/amendments. By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at www.ccr2000.com prior to award, during performance and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency.
