- Description
- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has a requirement for the design, fabrication, installation and testing of an X-Band Feed and Tracking Systems (XFATS). System shall be capable of interfacing with an existing CDA antenna. The feed shall be integrated into the Wallops 14-meter antenna. The system will be utilized to support the Polar-orbiting satellite programs. The XFATS will be installed on an exisitng antenna at the Wallops Command and Data Acquisition (CDA) Station, 35663 Chincoteague Road, Wallops, VA 23337. Included shall be the installation of the cassegrain feed, all associated electrical and electronic equipment, and all necessary control, signal and radio frequency or fiber optic cables. The feed shall interface to the existing antenna controller. The contractor is responsible for the design and integration of a dichroic subreflector to facilitate the use of the X-band feed and still have no mission support impact on the capabilities of the existing antenna systems. Overall system degration should be addressed in conjunction with the link/loss analysis. Contract shall be completed no later than 90 days after award of contract.
