- Description
- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Detachment Washington intends to procure contractor support for a family literacy program. Solicitation N00600-02-R-0931 that closed March 6, 2002, which was issued for the same requirement, has been canceled in its entirety. This program assists sailors on extended deployments with family reading initiatives. This requirement is for the Navy Personnel Command in Millington, TN. The contract will be awarded under the authority of FAR 6.203, limiting competition to small business concerns. The small business standard size for this procurement is $5M. The proposed contract type will be Firm-Fixed-Price with the period of performance beginning on the date of the award. The contract will consist of a base period of approximately 7 months and (3) one-year option periods. The clause located at FAR 52.217-8, "Option to Extend Services" will be included in this contract. The contractor will provide: program overview briefs, shipboard training seminars, training materials to include program manuals, support manuals and instructional videos on VHS and CD-ROM, and long term program support as directed in the Statement of Work. This contract will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures under the authority of Far 13.5, the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The FSC code for this procurement is T006, Film/Video Tape Production Services. This solicitation is expected to be released no later than Monday, March 11, 2002 and close Friday, March 15.
