Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division intends to procure Repair of Repairable (ROR) services and Calibration services for Rubidium Oscillators, P/N A31U29151-1 (Model # FRTGRLA), an embedded Calibration Standard which is part of a larger AN/USM-467 RADCOM system. All units will be repaired to manufacturer specification and calibrated traceable to NIST. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Datum Inc, 3 Parker, Irvine, CA 92618-1819. Under the Authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only supplier of the repair services because they are the sole designer and manufacturer of the Rubidium Oscillator, already purchased by the Government. The proposed Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for these services shall be for a period NTE three (3) years. This synopsis is for the basic BOA and all subsequent delivery orders. All repairs will be done using original manufactured replacement parts. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the proposals. However, all responses received within thirty days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
