The dustless sanding system must comply with recommendations set forth by recent Bio-environmental Engineering Assessments, dated 5 Dec. 01. Compliance with current guidelines is mandatory to meet Air Force standards for containment of cadmium and chromate containing materials, during pneumatic sanding and bead blasting operations. This equipment must be certified adequate to reduce exposures below occupational exposure limits IAW AFOSH standard 91-31, Personal Protective Equipment, and 48-8, Controlling Exposures to Hazardous Materials.
