Description
This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the drydock service craft overhauls of floating cranes YD-248 and YD-259.This solicitation is a small business set-aside under the NAIC of 336611.The RFP will be issued on or about 22 March 2002.Proposals will be due on or about 23 April 2002. Sources who currently hold, or are qualified for and willing to enter into an Agreement for Boat Repair/Master Ship Repair Agreement (ABR/MSRA) in accordance with DFARS 217.71 prior to award, may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency. Firms who do not possess either an ABR or MSRA are ineligible for award unless adequate time exists to permit an assessment of the ABR/MSRA application and to execute the ABR/MSRA agreement(s) without impacting the vessel's availability dates. ** Work on YD-248 includes but is not limited to: Drydocking, hull preservation, zinc replacement, UT inspe ction of hull to main deck, repair hull fender retaining foundations, open/inspect all tanks/voids, open fuel tanks, remove-store fuel, clean tanks, inspect tanks, paint tip of crane boom, and misc . repairs of hull to main deck, tanks/voids, fuel tanks, main deck including liferails.**Work on YD-259 includes but is not limited to: Drydocking, hull preservation, zinc replacement, UT inspection of hull to main deck, repair hull fender retaining foundations, open/inspect all tanks/voids, open fuel tanks/remove-store fuel/clean tanks/inspect tanks, and misc.. repairs of hull to main deck, tanks/voids, fuel tanks, main deck including liferails.**The vessels size: approx. 176?x8?length, 76?x5?width, draft 3?x8?forward and 4?x8? aft, displacement 1,420 long tons.The RFP, when issued, will be available for downloading from www.neco.navy.mil.
