- Description
- The Internal Revenue Service is seeking sources to provide PC-based software capable of (1) calculating both statutory and tax reserves for life insurance contracts, annuity, and accident and health insurance contracts; and (2) testing whether an individual life insurance contract meets the definition of life insurance contract in accordance with the Internal Revenue Code Section 7702 and (3) tests whether a modified endowment contract meets the qualification in accordance with Section 7702A.. The software must accept and convert taxpayer source data to the reserve system usable format for the IRS. Additionally, the IRS will require training and software maintenance. Sources who believe they can fulfill this requirement must submit an electronic copy of their capability statement to the following email address: Judy.A.Silver@irs.gov . Capabilities statement must include all software systems requirements and how the software would be licensed. Training, software support and maintenance should also be addressed. Any costing information would also be appreciated. This announcement is not a request for proposal. Once the sources have been evaluated, the IRS will proceed with a formal Request for Proposal. All responses must be received by March 13, 2002 at 3:00 PM.
