- Description
- During the course of past fieldwork at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield Georgia, a large number of archaeological sites have been located by surveyors. Some sites have been evaluated as either eligible or not eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Others have been evaluated as potentially eligible/indeterminate. Under this requirements contract, the contractor will be concerned with relocating, testing, and evaluating these potentially eligible sites. Utilizing reports, maps, collections, and site forms already prepared and gathered during earlier investigations, the contractor shall relocate the sites selected for further investigation and test excavate the sites in question for the purpose of making determination of NRHP eligibility.
