- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS code is 334516 and the SIC is 3826. This RFP is issued unrestricted. Specifications for the Focused Ion Beam (FIB) Microscope shall meet the following minimum requirements: Digital focused ion beam milling and imaging tool. High stability tilt eucentric 50 mm travel stage with front door drawer for easy sample access, motorized XYZ and rotation control with encoders, manual control tilt with digital position display and multi-axis joystick. High performance pre-lens AVA (Automatic Variable Aperture) ion column, 30 KeV, with gallium liquid metal ion source and 10-position motorized aperture strip. Channel electron multiplier detector capable of secondary electron and ion imaging. Automatic vacuum system with turbomolecular pumping system, ion pump for differential pumping of ion column and mechanical rough pump. Six (6) accessory ports for up to four gas chemistries, optical microscope, or other accessories. Gas injection system with Platinum Deposition Gas injection system with Metal Selective Enhanced Etch Gas injection system with Insulator Deposition II Gas injection system with Delineation Etch An integrated optical microscope Distributed control via Pentium-based computer controlling multiple single board satellite processors, MS-Windows NT operating system and 21" color monitor. Manual user interface (MUIF) console for analog control of focus, stigmation, magnification, XY fine position, and contrast/brightness, in addition to mouse control. Real time milling pattern display. Line matching transformer. Video Printer. Specimen holder kit. Designed for SEMI S2-93 and CE compliance. Also required are: On-site installation and basic operational training. On-site applications training. Two tuition credits to Basic FIB Training Course. One year standard warranty (parts and labor) and one year post warranty maintenance contract for total of 24 months. Quantity of 1 each for FOB destination to McClellan, CA 95652-2100. The following FAR clauses apply: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors?Commercial; 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Verifications-Commercial Items with their proposal. DPAS rating is C9. Delivery is requested for 60 days ARO. Offerors are due at 3:00PM on 27 Mar 2002. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to an award.
