Description
-The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking potential sources for a Data General AV 9500 system. Potential sources must be capable of furnishing the following: A 32-license operating system, DG-UX., (qty1)-AV9500 chassis, (qty 3)-dual CPUs , Univeral memory controller , (qty 4)-128MB Ram, (qty 3)- 4gb, (qty1)- 4gb 4mm Dat, (qty 1)-150 MB QIC tape, (qty 1)-CD Rom, (qty 1)-20 slot Clariion rackmount, (qty 2)-S/P Cache ready, (qty 2)-32mb cache-(64 mb total), (qty 7)- 9gb Clariion drives, (qty 1)- battery back-up, (qty 2)- power supplies, (qty 1)- 72@ deep rack cabinet, (qty 1)-Clariion tape array (which includes 5 X 4mm dat drives), and all associated cables.--Interested sources that can furnish the items meeting the above specification requirements are encouraged to submit substantiation to the Bureau of Reclamation, either by mail or fax no later than March 4, 2002. Responses must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the requirements stated above, and should include the firm's Dun and Bradstreet number (DUNS) and Tax Identification number (TIN). Firms should identify themselves as either small business, or other than small business, in accordance with the size standard for North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 443120 which is $6.5 million. This notice is for market research purposes only and is not a Request for Quotation or an announcement of a solicitation. However, the information gathered from this notice will be used to determine which preference program will be used to process the acquisition (e.g., 8(a) set-aside under the Small Business Administration's 8(a) program, total small business set-aside, full and open competition) should a solicitation becomes available. No preference program determination will be made until the market research has been completed.
