Description
STAMENT OF WORK SUMMER COMPUTER PROGRAM 1. SPECIFICATION OF SERIVCE: A. Develop a week long summer computer program curriculum for youth ages 8-18, specifically for overseas locations. Conduct such program at 10 United States Air Forces in Europe youth programs from 17 Jun 02 ? 23 Aug 02. B. Each summer program is to be conducted in a weekly (5-days, 2 sessions each day, 4-hours each session) lesson plan. Each session will be geared to specific age grouping of 8-12 year olds and 13-18 year olds C. The government will provide computers (with internet access) on site to conduct the program. D. Locations for the one week session are RAF Croughton, RAF Molesworth, RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheat in the United Kingdom, Rhein Main AB, Ramstein AB and Spangdalhem AB in Germany, Aviano AB in Italy, and Izmir AB and Incirlik AB in Turkey. E. Contractor will provide instruction geared to the two age groups. For the younger age group, and introduction to computer applications including Microsoft Office, internet skills, graphics and arts programs, computer music and sounds and web page creation and design. For the older age group, the curriculum will include topics on concepts of procedural programming in C++, internet skills, graphics and art programs, music and web page creation and design. F. Contractor will include icebreaker exercises and regular energizers to reduce fatigue and increase excitement. G. Contractor will include individualized training and assessments resulting in learning contracts that enable staff and youth to monitor their progress against the goals H. The government will be responsible for taking registration information of participants. 2. PROFESSINAL REQUIRMENTS OF CONTRACTOR: A. Has operated a computer program for youth for at least 3 summers. B. Has the ability to make changes in the program to accommodated special requests from host site at no additional cost to the governments C. Has the ability to communicate effectively with parents and youth. 3. PROCESS AND PROCEDURES FOR PERFORMING DUTIES: A. Coordinate logistical requirements with site project officers once HQ USAFE/SVPCY has determined the schedule. This includes time of camp each day, location of camp, etc B. Travel itineraries will be coordinated through USAFE/SVPCY, Unit 3050, Box 160, APO AE 09136. The host site will provide ground travel to and from host sites. The host site will provide lodging. All other expenses will be the responsibility of the contractor. Award will be make to the lowest price that meets the requirements stated above.
