- Date for receipt of proposals updated. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center, Butner, North Carolina, requires the services of an Art Therapist. The contractor will provide individual and group Art Therapy sessions for pretrial and convicted inmates at FMC Butner. Contractor services will be provided 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. All basic supplies shall be furnished by FMC Butner. This solicitation is anticipated to result in a single award, Firm-fixed Price contract. The anticipated term of the contract includes a one year base year period and four one year option periods. This solicitation is set-aside 100% for small businesses. The NAICS code is 621999. The contractor must adhere to specific rules and regulations of the department and institution. Any individual working within the confines of FMC Butner must undergo a background investigation and drug test prior to being permitted inside the institution. The government may award the contract without discussions, therefore, offerors are instructed to submit their best offer initially. The base year period will be from date of award through 12 months, Option Year 1 period will be from 13 months through 24 months, Option Year 2 period will be from 25 months through 36 months, Option Year 3 will be from 37 months through 48 months, and the Option Year 4 will be from 49 month through 60 months. The FBOP anticipates posting the solicitation to the government electronic point of entry, Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) www.fedbizopps.gov on or about February 11, 2002. Closing due date for proposals is March 15, 2002. All responsible sources meeting the requirements listed in the solicitation may submit a proposal which will be considered by the FBOP.
