- Basamid Granular Fumigant, Idaho Panhandle National Forests Coeur dAlene Nursery, Kootenai County, Idaho. This is a combined synopsis solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation R1-04-02-31 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-04. The clauses and provisions referenced in this solicitation can be found in full text form at http://www.arnet.gov/far. This is a total small business set-aside and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The North American Industry Classification Code is 325320, Exterminating Chemical Products Manufacturing. A quotation is requested for one (1) line item. LINE ITEM 1 - 5,250 pounds basamid granular fumigant, Dazomet brand name or equal, EPA Reg. 7969-99, palletized. Offer will specify how the material will be packaged for delivery. Required delivery to be made to the Coeur dAlene Nursery located at 3600 Nursery Road, Coeur dAlene, ID 83815, on or before May 6, 2002. FAR 52.211-16, Variation in Quantity (April, 1984) applies to this solicitation and any resulting contract. (a) A variation in the quantity of any item called for by this contract will not be accepted unless the variation has been caused by conditions of loading, shipping, or packing, or allowances in the manufacturing processes, and then only to the extent, if any, specified in the paragraph (b) (below) of this clause. (b) The permissible variation in quantity shall be limited to: 3 percent increase, 3 percent decrease, total contract quantity. All deliveries shall be made on regular workdays (Monday through Friday) during regular business hours (7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.), excluding official Federal Government holidays. Contractor shall notify the Coeur dAlene Nursery (208)-765-7375 a minimum of 24 hours prior to delivery. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The contract award will be offered to the best value offer made to the Government, considering price and technical specifications. Offerors will include with their offer a completed copy of the provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items. The clauses 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition.
