Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to negotiate a sole source contract for the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) for: twelve (12) P90 5.7mm Universal 1913 Triple Rail Version Sub-Machine Guns; 10,000 each 5.7x28mm SS190 armor piercing ammunition, TR194 training ammunition, and L191 tracer ammunition; 24 each P90 magazines; and, twelve (12) weapon slings. This equipment is being procured in support of MCWL?s Project Rifleman. The P90 represents a class of weapons that represent a departure from the normal large caliber, low-medium velocity ammunition weapons currently in use. The light weight, small sized, high magazine capacity, and the lethality of the P90 will fit the requirement for a personal sidearm or, in times of need, a weapon capable of accurate, armor-defeating, lethal fires to 200m. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note 22.
